Here's the same bee, collecting pollen. His legs were heavy by the time he flew off the thistle flower. As far as I can see from info gathered on the internet, he might be some kind of sweat bee. But I really have no idea! It was interesting to try to find out how to classify a bee. This was the best site I came across.
